The Columbus State Lady Cougars volleyball team went 1-1 at the Saint Leo Invitational Friday,
The Lady Cougars defeated South Dakota Mines 3-2 before being handed their third loss of the season by Cedarville 3-1.
CSU wont the first set against South Dakota Mines 25-19, lost the second set 25-15 and the third set 25-22.
The Lady Cougars rallied to win the next two sets 25-20, 15-11 to pick up the win.
Erika Gelzinyte had 15 kills in the contest, and Katie Poole came in with 13 kills.
Megan Frame had nine kills, Kierston Smith totaled eight kills, 29 assists and eight digs and Megan Scharnett had 21 digs.
In the second match Cedarville won the first set 25-23, lost the second 25-23, then won the third set 25-20 and the fourth set 25-10 to close out the contest.
The Lady Cougars kept it close through the first three sets. Poole and Gelzinyte had 6 kills apiece, with Poole adding one ace.
Frame and Smith came in at 5 kills each, with Smith totaling 24 assists and 12 digs.
Sharnett came in with a kill, 2 aces and 11 digs.
CSU (8-3) will continue in the Saint Leo Classic starting today at 1 p.m.
