High school roundup: Pacelli girls, boys finish 9th at cross country meet

MACON, Ga. -- The Pacelli boys and girls cross country teams both placed ninth Saturday at the 2nd Annual Wild Run Invitational hosted by First Presbyterian Day.

The boys had a score of 253. The girls had a score of 208.Saturday at Macon, Ga.

Top finishers: 35. John Clark Auer (20:01); 58. Josh Hammonds (21:03); 61. Manuel Duran (21:10); 68. Daniel Rodriguez (22:08); 72. Eric Mendez (22:25).GirlsTop finishers: 20. NORTHSIDE GOES 6-1 AT SPIKE FEST

CONYERS, Ga. -- Northside went 6-1 at the Harley Davidson Conyers Classic Spike Fest, losing a match to Greenbriar Saturday that would have put them in the semifinals.

Carly Smart had 19 aces, 73 assists, 38 kills and seven 7 blocks to pace the Lady Patriots.

Northside plays at Harris County Thursday at 5 p.m.Saturday at Conyers, Ga.
