Lee 4, CSU 2: Columbus State soccer falls to Lee

The Columbus State Lady Cougars soccer team was defeated by Lee 4-2 at home Sunday.

Lee made it onto the scoreboard first, scoring a goal at the 19:44 mark of the first half off a corner kick.

Nine minutes later CSU answered with a goal by Chelsea Person with an assist from Kelsey Pelletier.

Lee regained the advantage 10 minutes into the second half with a goal that slipped pass CSU keeper Meosha Hatcher.

Columbus State evened the match again just 21 seconds later when Person dribbled the ball into the box and set up a goal from Nicole Corcione.

Lee scored two more times, at the 63:45 and 86:43 marks to put the game away.

Hatcher had five saves, and the Lady Cougars had eight total shots on goal in the match.

Columbus State (3-3) will host USC Aiken Saturday at 3 p.m.
