Singer-songwriter Dan Henig performs Sept. 27 at Columbus' RiverMill Event Centre

ssorich@ledger-enquirer.comSeptember 26, 2013

Dan Henig performs Friday night at the RiverMill Event Centre, 3715 First Ave. in Columbus. He’s a singer-songwriter who hails from Ann Arbor, Mich.

In addition to his original material, Henig is widely known for his acoustic hip-hop covers that are posted online. I've refrained from embedding them in this story due to some profanity issues.

Doors open 9 p.m. Cost is $15 advance, $18 at the door. CSU students and active military personnel pay $10 advance, $12 at the door. Only cash will be accepted at the door for ticket sales.

Eat at Epic Friday night and you’ll get into the show for free. For more information about the show, call 706-327-9300. The performance is recommended for mature audiences.

What else is happening on the local music scene this weekend? Here's a handy roundup of shows.

I'll leave you with one of Henig's covers. It's a mashup of two tunes: one by Justin Bieber, one by Bonnie Raitt.
