An armed man with a trimmed full beard stole two hoodies and two T-shirts from J.C. Penney Thursday before evading security and fleeing the scene, according to Columbus police.

According to the report, a bearded white male with tattoos on both forearms was observed at the Peachtree Mall Penney's at about 5 p.m. removing the price tags and ink markers from two Nike hoodies and athletic T-shirts before putting them into his black gym shorts. When a Loss Prevention officer approached him, the suspect put his hands in his pockets and said, "Don't touch me, I have something to take care of you," before running away.

In the parking lot, the suspect entered a stolen 2013 black Nissan Altima (Georgia tag number PRA2863). A security guard also attempted to stop him before the suspect produced a holstered pistol, pointed it at the guard, and ordered him to "get the f--- back." The suspect then fled.

Malfunctioning security cameras may not have captured any footage of the incident. No further details are available.
