Newnan 29, Hardaway 27: Hardaway falls in close game

NEWNAN, Ga. -- The Hardaway Hawks fell to Newnan in a close 29-27 game Friday at Newnan.

Newnan scored 26 points in the first half compared to Hardaway's 14. Newnan was able to hold on to the lead despite Hardaway outscoring their opponent 13-3 in the second half.

Jordan Crawford had a 56-yard touchdown reception and a 76-yard punt return for a score for the Hawks.

Hardaway is now 0-2 against Newnan.

Hardaway (2-3) will begin Region 1-AAAAA play when it hosts Lee County next Friday at 7:30 p.m.
