Flagler College 3, Columbus State 1: Lady Cougars fall to Flagler in four sets

The Columbus State Lady Cougars volleyball team lost to Flagler College 22-25, 25-16, 25-17, 15-19.

CSU won the first set, but Flagler took control from that point on by winning the next three sets.

Cheyenne Swenson led the attack for CSU with 13 kills, Katie Poole and Erika Gelzinyte each had 12 kills. Poole had 15 digs, and Gelzinyte had an ace and 14 digs.

Kierston Smith totaled 23 assists and 14 digs, and Ivana Kazic tallied 16 assists and eight digs.

Columbus State is now 8-6 overall and 2-3 in the Peach Belt Conference. The Lady Cougars will play at USC Aiken Friday at 7 p.m.
