Today (Sept. 29) is National Coffee Day 2013. If you're craving a caffeine rush, plenty of freebies are available.

Here are three major highlights. Post a comment if you know about additional deals.

Starbucks will offer guests a free taste of its new Ethiopian coffee, according to its website.

Krispy Kreme will give guests a free 12-ounce cup of hot coffee, according to its website. Coffee drinkers can also get any 12-ounce mocha, latte, or iced coffee -- including Krispy Kreme's Pumpkin Spice Latte -- for $1 at participating Krispy Kreme locations.

Dunkin' Donuts is offering a free small hot or iced Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, according to its website. But there's a catch. You must present the offer on your Dunkin' Donuts mobile app, which is available for iPhone and Android mobile devices.

Participation often varies, so it's best to confirm the deal with your store of choice.

Discussion time: Who serves the best cup of coffee in the Chattahoochee Valley?
