GPS-Based Audio Guidance System:

Processing hardware includes a dual-core 1 GHz Pico-ITX PC board with 64 gigabyte solid-state hard drive

Position information provided by 5 Hz Garmin GPS

Remote monitoring and shutdown function using high-power WiFi

Software calculates distance from measured position to course centerline using cartesion trigonometry. Offset is converted to variable audio tone in the drivers ear to indicate direction and distance to centerline.

Software monitors six different fault conditions and is capable if disabling the ignition should a fault occur.
