Lady Cougars place ninth in Lady Bearcat Invitational

The Columbus State Lady Cougars golf team finished in ninth place at the Lady Bearcat Invitational Sunday at the Old South Golf Links in Hilton Head, S.C.

CSU combined for 632 strokes, which put them two strokes under Montevallo. This moved the Lady Cougars up one spot from where they were in 10th place after the first round Saturday.

Steph Charteris shot an 80 for the Lady Cougars Sunday, which was eight over par and good enough for 24th overall individually.

Courtney Lowery had a team-low 77 during the second day. She finished tied for 38th along with teammate Jodi Henley, who tallied an 81 in the second round.

Ciera Bagley ended up finishing in 44th with an 80, ther same score she had in round one.

Columbus State will compete again Oct. 28-29 when they travel to Conover, N.C., for the Rock Barn Collegiate Invitational.
