Chelsea Person, Nicole Corcione score two goals each in Columbus State's easy win

AMERICUS, Ga. -- Chelsea Person and Nicole Corcione scored two goals apiece as the 10th-ranked Columbus State soccer team routed Georgia Southwestern 10-0 on Wednesday afternoon.

Mandy Janowitz, Tori Hood, Kara Barber, Kelsey Pelletier, Jackie Hellett also scored for the Lady Cougars. CSU also scored an own goal.

Person scored two quick goals. She scored 15 seconds into the first half and 18 seconds into the second half. Corcione scored the second goal and the final one.

CSU outshot GSW 33-1. Maylyn Parsons (1-2) made a save on the only shot she faced.

CSU is 8-3, 5-0 in the Peach Belt Conference. The Lady Cougars are tied with Lander atop the standings. Clayton State is third at 3-0-2, and Armstrong Atlantic is 3-1-1. GSW is 10th at 0-10-1 and 0-4-1.

CSU plays at Flagler on Monday.
