Marion County 28, Pacelli 14: Eagles rebound in second half

BUENA VISTA, Ga. -- Marion County made it six wins in a row against Pacelli with a 28-14 victory over the Vikings Friday night at Eagle Stadium. Both teams came into the contest undefeated.

Lorenzo Smothers had 4 carries for 60 yards and a touchdown, 3 catches for 98 yards and a 75-yard punt return for a score on the night.

Johnny Royal accounted for the Eagles other two touchdowns on runs of 3 and 6 yards.

Pacelli took a 7-0 lead into halftime thanks to a 6-yard touchdown run by quarterback Wyatt Peterson, but the Eagles came back and put the game away late.
