Carver 48, Henry County 14: Henry County no match for Tigers

McDONOUGH, Ga -- Dequandre Coleman had 124 rushing yards and three touchdowns in Carver's 48-14 win over Henry County Friday night. Jawon Pass had 195 yards through the air and one touchdown, a 17-yard strike to Dreilon Freeman in the third quarter.

Carver had a 20-14 lead at halftime, but the Tigers widened the gap with three touchdowns in the third quarter. Carver's defense also did not give up a point to Heard County after intermission.

Noah Hickey had 14 carries for 113 yards and a score, and Derrell Hicks also had a rushing touchdown for Carver. Freeman threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Nate Barley to account for the Tigers' other score through the air.

Carver (5-1, 2-0 Region 2-AAA) will travel to Southwest-Macon Thursday with a 7 p.m. start time.Carver at Henry CountyCarver 6 14 22 6--48
