Report: Acquaintance stabs man in back

A man was punched in the face and stabbed in the back Sunday afternoon in a parking lot at the intersection of Clover Lane and 29th Avenue, according to a Columbus police report.

At about 3:30 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to a call of an assault. At the scene, the victim told police he was assaulted by someone he knew -- being punched in the face and stabbed in his upper back.

The victim is in stable condition. No arrests were made at the scene.
