Columbus appears on list of top 100 best places to live: Where did we rank?

Columbus, Ga., is among the top 100 best places to live in America, according to a list released Oct. 16 by

We ranked No. 74 out of the 100 cities that made the list. Palo Alto, Calif., took the No. 1 spot. Boulder, Colo., ranked No. 2 and Berkeley, Calif., ranked No. 3.

" explores what makes small to mid-sized cities great places to live, work and visit," according to the website.

It partnered with the Martin Prosperity Institute to rank cities based on economics, housing, amenities, infrastructure, demographics, social and civic capital, education and healthcare, according to a news release.

Columbus is the only Georgia city that made the list. One Alabama city appears on the list: Huntsville, which ranks No. 30.
