Columbus State downs Georgia Regents 3-0

The Columbus State Lady Cougars volleyball team defeated Georgia Regents 3-0 Saturday at the Lumpkin Center.

CSU held off Georgia Regents to win three close sets 25-18, 30-28-25-23.

Katie Poole led the Lady Cougars in kills with 15. She also had one assist, two aces and four digs.

Erika Gelzinyte came in with 13 kills, two assists, an ace and seven digs.

Kierston Smith had nine kills, 36 assists and five digs, Caytlin Merrit totaled 14 digs and Megan Frame tallied six kills, an ace and three digs.

CSU is now 15-7 overall and 7-4 in Peach Belt Conference play. The Lady Cougars will host Montevallo Tuesday at 7 p.m.
