Tasty temptations at first Foodie Fest

October 20, 2013

A crowd of food, beer and wine lovers, estimated between 1,500 and 2,000, brought umbrellas and strolled Woodruff Park under the occasional light rain Saturday for the first Uptown Columbus Foodie Fest.

"It was great," said Richard Bishop, CEO of Uptown Columbus. "We thought it was a big success, and the vendors sold all their food." This was the first year for the event, which featured food from area vendors and restaurants; clothing, gifts, jewelry and pets to adopt; a children's playground; and blues music by Peggy Jenkins & the Bizness.
