Police: Family violence case includes 4-year-old victim

A man allegedly attacked several people, including his 4-year-old son, on Sunday night, according to a Columbus police report.

At about 11 p.m., officers responded to the 5100 block of Morris Avenue, where they were advised by victims that a man had attacked them minutes earlier.

The suspect is listed as Cory Edwards, 22. His victims include two men and a 4-year-old boy who is listed as his child.

Edwards' alleged offenses include battery (marked family violence), aggravated assault and cruelty to children in the third degree.

The case remains under investigation.
