Lock it in!: Picks for this week's high school football games

dmitchell@ledger-enquirerOctober 24, 2013

Alright, the football season is winding down, and I’ve been pretty efficient at picking games this season. At 86 of 105, my success rate is 81.9 percent, just a few points shy of the best winning percentage in the Bi-City area.

I thought about setting a goal of having a higher winning percentage than all 19 area football teams, but that would require a couple of top teams to lose, and I won’t advocate that.

So, my new goal is to finish at an 85-percent success rate, or better. Here’s a look at how tough that will be:

If I pick all 40 remaining games correctly, I’ll finish at 86.9 percent. If I miss only three games, that percentage dips to 84.8.

Chances are slim.

Alas, that is the goal. Let’s see if we can get things going this week.

Here are the picks. Let me know your thoughts in the comments and be sure to follow on Twitter @leprepsports.
