You need to know: Both teams have lost four straight. … Shaw has beaten Columbus 16 straight times. Columbus' last win over Shaw came in 1994.

SPENCER VS. CHATTAHOOCHEE COUNTY

Last week: Spencer lost to Bowdon 40-8. Chattahoochee County lost to Kendrick 36-7.

You need to know: Spencer is tied for third in the region with Manchester, a half-game ahead of Bremen. … Last week's loss snapped a three-game win streak for the Greenwave. … Spencer needs to win two of its last three games to secure its first winning season since 1977. … The Panthers have lost five straight after starting 0-2.

CARVER AT CENTRAL-MACON

Where: Henderson Memorial Stadium, Macon, Ga.

Records: Carver 6-1, 3-0 Region 2-AAA. Central-Macon 1-6, 1-2.

Last week: Carver beat Southwest-Macon 52-6. Central-Macon lost to Peach County 35-0.

Last meeting: Carver won 46-14 last season.

Series: Southwest-Macon leads series 3-2.

You need to know: Carver has won four straight since its only loss of the season. … Central-Macon's only win this season came against Southwest-Macon, the team Carver beat by 46 last week.

KENDRICK AT MANCHESTER

Where: Memorial Stadium, Manchester, Ga.

Records: Kendrick 3-4, 2-3 Region 5-AA. Manchester 5-2, 3-2..

Last week: Kendrick beat Chattahoochee County 36-7. Manchester beat Bremen 47-40.

Last meeting: Manchester won 37-8 last season.

Series: Manchester leads 3-0.

You need to know: Manchester is tied with Spencer for third in the region with Manchester, a half-game ahead of Bremen and a game ahead of Kendrick. This is a must win for Kendrick, if the Cherokees are to return to the playoffs for the second straight year.

NORTHSIDE AT BAINBRIDGE

When: 8 p.m.

Where: Centennial Stadium, Bainbridge, Ga.

Records: Northside 1-6, 0-2 Region 1-AAAAA. Bainbridge 3-4, 1-2.

Last week: Northside lost 42-21 to Harris County. Bainbridge beat Hardaway 29-12.

Last meeting: Bainbridge won 48-7 last season.

Series: Bainbridge leads 3-0.

You need to know: Northside has lost five straight. … Bainbridge scored the final 17 points to beat Hardaway 29-12 last week.

HARRIS COUNTY AT LEE COUNTY

You need to know: Harris County has won six straight since its opening loss to Houston County. … Lee County opened the season with six wins before losing to Thomas County Central last week.

MARION COUNTY AT BROOKSTONE

Records: Marion County 7-0, 4-0 Region 4-A. Brookstone 4-3, 2-2.

Last week: Marion County beat Dooly County 27-25. Brookstone beat Schley County 43-12.

You need to know: Marion County has a one-game lead on Dooly County and Pacelli in the region standings. The Eagles also have wins over both, so they would hold any tiebreaker. … Brookstone is tied with Hawkinsville in fourth, a game behind Dooly County and Pacelli. … The region champion receives an automatic berth in the state playoffs. The rest of the field for both the public- and private-school playoffs are determined by power rankings. Marion County is No. 1 in the public-school rankings. Brookstone is 12th in the private.

PACELLI AT DOOLY COUNTY

Where: The Grove, Vienna, Ga.

Records: Pacelli 6-1, 3-1 Region 4-A. Dooly County 4-3, 3-1.

Last week: Pacelli beat Greenville 70-30. Dooly County lost 27-25 to Marion County.

Last meeting: Dooly County won 47-14 last season.

Series: Dooly County leads 7-0.

You need to know: Pacelli and Dooly County are tied for second in the region, a game behind Marion County. You need to know: Smiths Station can still clinch the region title with a win. … The Panthers were averaging 39 points a game through the first six games. They are averaging 5 in the last two. … Central has won four straight against Smiths Station.

RUSSELL COUNTY AT BTW

Where: Garrett-Harrison Stadium

Records: Russell County 4-4, 3-3 Class 5A Region 2. BTW 2-6, 1-5.

Last week: Russell County lost to Valley 13-7.

Last meeting: Russell County won 20-0 last season.

Series: Russell County leads 13-6.

You need to know: Russell County clinched its playoff berth last week when Carroll-Ozark lost. It is the Warriors' first playoff berth since 2001.
