Man charged with felony theft at St. Francis

A man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after allegedly stealing $2,000 worth of goods outside St. Francis Hospital, according to a Columbus police report.

Ernest Roberson, 58, was arrested in the hospital parking lot at about 5:15 p.m. after allegedly stealing goods from the dumpster.

The victim is listed as the Alexander Electric Company, a local electrical contractor.

The stolen goods are valued at $2,000; their exact nature were not listed on the report.

Roberson was charged with felony theft by taking and taken to the Muscogee County Jail.
