Report: Roommate fight sparks aggravated battery arrest

A man was arrested and charged with aggravated battery after punching a man in the face Thursday night, according to a Columbus police report.

At about 11 p.m., Eddie Watts, 64, allegedly punched his roommate with a closed fist in their home on the 300 block of 6th Street. Officers responded an hour later.

The victim is described as injured but in good condition on the report.

Watts was arrested and taken to the Muscogee County Jail.
