Contest: Make a costume out of newspapers, win a $150 Visa gift card

ssorich@ledger-enquirer.comOctober 25, 2013

It's that time again.

After revisiting memories of a reader who made a gargoyle costume out of newspapers last year, we decided to serve up the challenge again.

Make a costume out of Ledger-Enquirer newspapers and you could win a $150 Visa gift card. That prize will go to the top costume overall, but we'll give movie tickets to other entries that catch our attention. In addition to giving away prizes, we'll feature some of the top costumes on our website.

Be creative. We'll accept adult costumes, kids' costumes and pet costumes.

Interested? Email a photo of your costume to ssorich@ledger-enquirer.com by 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29. You must include your name, address and phone number in the email. You'll get a confirmation email once we've received your submission.

You're not required to make a costume entirely out of newspapers. If you prefer, simply add a newspaper-made accessory to an existing costume. But feel free to go overboard. In fact, your chances of winning increase with every newspaper you use. We'll judge on creativity and use of the Ledger-Enquirer. Good luck!

Ledger-Enquirer is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
