2 robbers use rifle to rob Shell station in Columbus

Two robbers used a rifle early today to rob the Shell station on Buena Vista Road, Columbus police said.

The employee wasn’t injured in the 1:16 a.m. holdup at 5757 Buena Vista Road, police said.

In a report, police said the two bandits, one armed with a rifle, entered through the south front door of the business. The robbers took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.

The holdup remains under investigation.

Both men were described as black. One is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds. He was wearing a black T-shirt, black pants and black bonnie hat.

The second man is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He was wearing a gray hoodie and dark pants.
