Kendrick, Central fall in playoffs

ATLANTA -- The Kendrick Lady Cherokees volleyball team was defeated 3-0 by Lovett. The match was Kendrick's first-ever trip to the GHSA Class AA state quarterfinals.

Deja Cheatham and Khalia Lawrence both had nine kills in the match. Kendrick finishes the season with a 23-2 record.Saturday at Lovett

Central falls to McGill-Toolen

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Central volleyball team lost in three sets, 25-7, 25-9, 25-13, to McGill-Toolen on Friday in the first round of the AHSAA Class 6A South Super Regional.

The loss ended the Lady Red Devils' season.
