AUBURN, Ala.Keymiya Harrell made his first appearance of the year on Saturday against Florida Atlantic.

The sophomore defensive end didn't register any statistics, however, and given the amount of time he missed earlier this season, he might receive a medical redshirt.

"It's still a little bit of a question mark," Auburn defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson said following Sunday's practice. "... We may let him go ahead and take this as a redshirt year."

The Selma, Ala., native missed the entire spring to rehab from knee surgery. Johnson said Harrell had been showing signs of progress, but that it has taken a downward turn in recent weeks.

"I think he's still a little tentative with it," Johnson said. "Not sure how much full-speed he's been actually getting in practice."
