Police initially knocked on Shane Lee Jolley's door Sunday to make sure he wasn't hurting himself.

Jolley, 42, who is charged with cocaine possession, was reported at about 3:30 a.m. for threatening to injure himself. He invited two officers who were checking on him inside his Second Avenue home. There, one of the officers allegedly pointed out a marijuana pipe inside a box on the coffee table.
