Bedroom fire causes $50,000 in damage at Pierce Road home

A fire at a 5213 Pierce Road home is under investigation after it caused $50,000 worth of damage, Fire Department officials said Monday.

The majority of the damage was restricted to the roof and a bedroom. Fire Marshal Ricky Shores reported no injuries.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, but investigators were working on scene as of Monday morning.
