Officers are searching for a robber who potentially fractures the arm of a Shell Food Mart employee with a baseball bat Wednesday, according to a Columbus Police report.

When police arrived at the 401 Veterans Parkway business shortly after 5:15 a.m., the employee had two lacerations to his head. He was taken to Midtown Medical Center for a "possible fracture" to his right arm.

Nothing was reported as stolen. The victim described the suspect as a 5-foot-9 black man wearing a dark blue hoodie and dark pants. He had an unknown object obscuring his face.

Anyone with further information should call the Investigative Division at 706-653-3400.
