A wreck has been reported near the new ramp at Bradley Park and J.R. Allen Parkway.

A dispatch officer said Friday the wreck was between a black Kia and a blue SUV around 10:15 a.m. The scene was cleared by 11 a.m.

It's unclear at this time if the wreck occurred on the ramp or because of the change in traffic, but more details will be added as they become available.

The cloverleaf entrance from Bradley Park Drive onto west-bound J.R. Allen Parkway was closed permanently Friday. Drivers wanting to enter J.R. Allen headed toward downtown and Phenix City will use the straight entrance ramp across Bradley Park Drive from the closed cloverleaf.

The Georgia Department of Transportation decided this summer to close the portion of the cloverleaf intersection for safety reasons, according to Deputy City Manager David Arrington.

The permanent change at Bradley Park will be a DOT project, as is the current temporary fix, Arrington said.
