FROM STAFF REPORTSNovember 1, 2013

Brookstone struggled with errors again Friday in the state softball tournament, dropping their final game to Savannah Christian.

With the game tied 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning, Savannah Christian broke the game open with four runs with the help of four Brookstone errors.

Helen Snavely, who pitched all three of the Lady Cougars' games, took the loss.

Isabel McCluskey went 2-for-3 and homered in the sixth inning to make the score 5-2.

Savannah Christian added another run in the bottom of the sixth to make the final score 6-2.

Coach Nate McConnell said it was the same story as on Thursday when the Lady Cougars allowed seven runs in the fourth inning against Eagle's Landing Christian Academy. They had four errors in that inning.

Brookstone finishes the season 24-7.

McConnell said he was proud of his team's accomplishments.
