Brookstone 47, Central-Talbotton 6: Brookstone routs Central-Talbotton

TALBOTTON, Ga. -- Brookstone scored 34 points in the first quarter Friday and cruised to a 47-6 win over Central-Talbotton.

Brookstone freshman quarterback Jaqwon Roberts threw four touchdown passes, two to senior receiver/cornerback Mark McVay, who also returned an interception 60 yards for a touchdown.

Cougars running back Sam Ndem scored two touchdowns, one on a 2-yard run, the other on a 5-yard pass from Roberts.

Other Brookstone players scoring touchdowns were Prather Hudson on a 9-yard run and Leye Olubowale on a 9-yard reception.

Brookstone (5-4, 3-3 Region 4-A) played most of the second half with their starters on the sideline.

Central-Talbotton's Phillip Oneal scored from 6 yards out in the fourth quarter to prevent a shutout. The Hawks remain winless at 0-9 and 0-6.
