Man robbed of more than $1,200 in restaurant parking lot

A 65 year-old man was robbed of more than $1,200 Friday in the parking of Burger King, Columbus police said.

The retired man was not seriously injured in the robbery which occurred sometime between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. at 3715 Victory Drive. The robbery was reported about 90 minutes later.

The man told police he was robbed of $1,213 in the parking lot of the fast-food restaurant. Police said the robbery remains under investigation. No description of a suspect was available.
