Custom knives stolen from Promenade Place residence

tstevens@ledger-enquirer.comNovember 6, 2013

In what was most likely a 10-to-15 minute window, an unknown number of thieves stole two boxes of custom knives from a Promenade Place resident, according to a Columbus police report.

The home owner, who lives on the 8800 block, told officers the boxes were last seen on Oct. 22. They are kept in the garage, which is usually locked unless he or his wife have to get something out of it, he said.

The resident did not specify whether he remembered going into the garage during the two week span leading up to the report of the theft. He did say that when his garage is open, it's only left unattended for 10 to 15 minutes.
