A 14-year-old boy was arrested in Athens, Ga., Monday after his mom asked him to get out of bed and go to school — and he said no, according to the Athens Banner-Herald.

The ABH reports that the boy's mother threatened to throw water on her son after she became concerned about his chronic tardiness. In turn, he threatened to "tear up their home" — which he was forced to do after his mother threw water on him.

The boy reportedly punched a window and threw a large vase.

He has been charged as an unruly child and with criminal damage to property.
