Georgia at Auburn to kick off at 3:30 p.m. on CBS

The Deep South's Oldest rivalry will be front and center Saturday.

CBS chose Georgia/Auburn as its game of the week on Sunday, making it the marquee matchup of the coming week in the SEC, with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m ET. The network delayed its decision last Monday, taking a six-day window to decide between Georgia/Auburn and Florida/South Carolina.

Auburn, ranked No. 9 in the latest BCS Standings (with the new rankings set to be released Sunday night) is coming off a 55-23 road victory against Tennessee on Saturday. Georgia won with similar ease over FCS foe Appalachian State, winning 45-6 at Sanford Stadium.

The Tigers are 1-0 in their appearances on CBS this season. On Oct. 19, Auburn traveled to College Station, Texas, and upended then-No. 7 Texas A&M 45-41.

When it hosts Georgia this weekend, Auburn will seek to end a two-year run of lopsided losses to its oldest rival. The Bulldogs' past two victories over the Tigers have come by a combined score of 83-7.

This marks the second straight year Auburn will welcome Georgia to Jordan-Hare Stadium. The scheduling quirk arose after Missouri and Texas A&M joined the SEC last season, forcing the league to move some games around to accommodate its two newest members.

The victor this weekend will take a one-game lead in the storied rivalry, as the series is knotted at 54-54-8 entering Saturday's matchup.
