Man robbed of $250 and cellphone

November 10, 2013

A man was robbed at gunpoint late Saturday night while walking down Woodland Drive toward Macon Road.

The incident occurred about 11:30 p.m. when the man was approached by two men who told him to give them what was in his pockets, according to a police report.

He told the men he didn't have anything on him. But one of the men pulled out a black handgun, pointed it at his chest and told him to empty his pockets.

The man followed orders and handed the suspects his LG Optimus cellphone and $250 cash.

He said the suspects then continued walking down Wooldland Drive toward Morris Road. He went to the Comfort Suites hotel and called his mother.

Police arrived at the scene about midnight and took a report. No further information was available Sunday morning.
