Columbus High's Brianna Gogins, Donna Fleming named GHSA AAAA player, coach of year

Brianna Gogins of the Columbus High School Lady Blue Devils volleyball team was named the GHSA AAAA state player of the year at the GHSA state coaches meeting. Coach Donna Fleming was named the GHSA AAAA coach of the year. The Lady Blue Devils finished with a record of 43-14.

Gogins, a senior middle blocker, helped her team win the GHSA AAAA state title. She finished the season with 379 kills, 91 blocks, 51 aces, 89 digs and two assists.

She is committed to Florida International.

Gogins was also named to the GHSA AAAA all-state team along with teammates Ki'anna Duncan, Natalie Twyford, Shardonee Hayes and Madison Fleming.
