November 14, 2013

Former Kendrick standout Cameron Baker has signed with the Columbus State men's basketball program to play beginning in the 2014-15 season.

Baker, a 2011 Kendrick graduate, has been playing for Central Georgia Tech, a junior college.

The Titans are currently 3-1 and Baker is the team's second leading scorer with 17.0 points per game. He led Central Georgia Tech last year with 18.2 points per game and added 5 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. The 6-1 guard hit over 30 points in four games including a career-high 37 against Atlanta Metro as a freshman.

"Cam is a strong guard that can get to the basket and score," said CSU head coach Robert Moore of Baker. "He will be an impact player for the Cougars because of his strength and overall skills as a basketball player."

In his senior season at Kendrick High School, Baker was named First Team All-Bi-City, First Team All-Region and First Team All-State. He averaged 23.3 points and 5.0 assists per game helping his team to a 22-7 record.
