Columbus State 1, Clayton State 0: CSU moves on with win

WINGATE, N.C. -- The fourth-seeded Columbus State Lady Cougars soccer team defeated No. 5 seed Clayton State 1-0 Friday in the NCAA Division II tournament.

Chelsea Person scored the lone goal of the contest (assisted by Nicole Corcione) at the 9:57 mark of the first half.

Keeper Maylyn Parsons had two saves to keep the clean sheet.

CSU (15-6) moves on to play Southeast region host and No. 1 seed Wingate Sunday at 1 p.m.
