RiverKings score in OT to edge Cottonmouths

Matt Harrington scored just 1:15 into overtime to give the Mississippi RiverKings a 3-2 win over Columbus on Friday night.

The Cottonmouths had forced overtime when Dan Bremner scored at the 18:22 mark of the third period. Matt Gingera and Jordan Braid had assists on the goal.

It was Bremner's second goal of the game. He gave the Snakes a 1-0 lead at the 7:24 mark of the first period. Jason Gray and Kyle Johnson had assists.

Mississippi's Leo Thomas tied the game at 12:43 mark of the first period.

The RiverKings took a 2-1 lead on Devin Mantha's goal just 11 seconds into the third period.

Columbus plays at Knoxville Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. before returning home for a Sunday afternoon (4 p.m.) game against Huntsville.
