McGloin to start again for Raiders

Alameda, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen confirmed Wednesday that rookie Matt McGloin will draw a second consecutive start at quarterback when his team hosts the Tennessee Titans this Sunday.

McGloin stepped in for an injured Terrelle Pryor last week and performed well in his starting debut, throwing for three touchdowns without an interception to help Oakland to a 28-23 road victory over Houston. The undrafted free agent completed 18-of-32 attempts for 197 yards.

Pryor was inactive against the Texans due to a sprained right knee he initially sustained in a loss to Philadelphia in Week 9. The former Ohio State star did play the following week but was mostly ineffective, completing just 11-of-26 passes for 122 yards and an interception in Oakland's 24-20 setback to the New York Giants.

Though Pryor leads all NFL quarterbacks with 504 rushing yards this season, he's often struggled as a passer. The 24-year-old has thrown for only five touchdowns while being intercepted 10 times over his eight starts and completed less than 55 percent of his attempts in each of his last four games.
