Veterans Parkway Family Dollar, two customers robbed

Armed with a M-16 style assault rifle, two men made off with an unknown amount of money and two customers' cell phones after robbing the Veterans Parkway Family Dollar, according to a Columbus Police report.

Victims told police the men entered the 3126 Veterans Parkway business at about 8:45 p.m., brandishing a weapon. In addition to stealing money and cellphones, the two took an unknown amount of Newport cigarette packs.

The first suspect was described as a 6-foot black man in his early 20s with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a hoodie pulled up over his head and a blue bandana pulled up to his eyes.

The second suspect is a 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-5 black man in his early 20s. He had a light complexion, and was wearing the same type of disguise as the other suspect.
