From staff reportsNovember 23, 2013

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- The Columbus Cottonmouths fell to the Fayetteville FireAntz 3-0 Saturday night.

The FireAntz scored one goal in each period to build a steady lead, and the Cottonmouths were unable to put the puck in the back of the net on the night.

Fayetteville's first two goals came when both teams were at full strength, but the last score of the night came when Columbus was short-handed and the FireAntz scored on an empty net.

The Snakes put 27 shots on the target in the game, but the FireAntz goalie managed to save every one.

Columbus (3-8) will travel to Huntsville to play the Havoc Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
