Columbus State women's cross country finishes in 29th at NCAA national championships

SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Columbus State women's cross country team finished in 29th place in the NCAA Division II national championships.

Grand Valley State won its second straight national title at the Plantes Ferry Sports Complex.

CSU, which was competing in its third national meet, was the second highest finishing team from the Southeast Region. Wingate came in 26th, and Flagler was 32nd.

Rayna Green had CSU's best time at 23 minutes, 10.3 seconds to finish in 158th place. Moneque English was next in 161st place with a time of 23:12.9.

Renee Usher was next for CSU in 189th place in 23:38.5, followed by Kaitlynn Howard (207th, 23:58.4) and Caroline Rotich (217th, 24:19.2).
