A man purportedly banned from the 12th Avenue Circle K attempted to punch the clerk after he was asked to leave Monday, according to a Columbus Police report.

Employees told police the man entered the store at about 2:25 p.m., at which point one of the workers realized he had previously been banned from the store. When the worker asked the man to leave, he allegedly began arguing and eventually took a swing at the employee. When the blow missed, he knocked a phone out of another employee's hands and left.

The suspect was described as a 20 to 25-year-old, muscular black man with a dark complexion. He was waring a blue Nike hoodie, camouflage shorts, pink socks and black Nike flip flops.
