A 73-year-old woman was slapped after she confronted another woman for riding around with her husband Monday, according to a Columbus Police report.

The Fairway Avenue resident began following her husband Monday morning when she saw 28-year-old Kimberly Driver in his passenger seat.

The two stopped at the intersection of Fourth Avenue and 32nd Street, at which point she demanded to know why Driver was in her husband's truck. Driver reportedly responded by slapping the woman and telling her that if she didn't leave her alone she would hurt her.

Police reported that Driver later admitted to slapping the woman. She was charged with simple battery and transported to Muscogee County Jail.
