A north Columbus man was arrested on a felony assault charge late Friday after he choked his wife and punched his stepson, police report.

Kika Mussa, 34, was charged with aggravated assault and battery involving family violence after the 10 p.m. incident on Stubben Court, off Schomburg Road just south of the J.R. Allen Parkway, officers said.

Investigators said Mussa choked his 36-year-old spouse, leaving marks on her neck, and pushed and punched his 16-year-old stepson, leaving the boy with swelling to his forehead and pain in his back and side. Mussa also caused about $200 in property damage, officers said.

Neither victim needed emergency medical care, police said.
