LaGrange AT&T robbed while closing shop

Two robbers allegedly ambushed an AT&T employee just as he was locking up for the night Sunday, according to a LaGrange Police Department press release.

The victim told police he was closing shop when two men confronted him in the back of the store. The men allegedly physically assaulted him and threatened him with a gun before ordering the employee to open the safe.

An undisclosed amount of money and merchandise was taken from the store.

The suspects were described as 5-foot-10 black men in all black clothing. Anyone with additional information should contact the LaGrange Police Department at 706-883-2603 or the Troup County Crime Stoppers at 706-812-1000.
