A robbery culminated in a 40-year-old man losing consciousness Tuesday after he was dragged from his Ticknor Drive apartment and beaten, according to a Columbus Police report.

The victim told police three to four men pulled him out of his apartment at about 9:10 p.m., and proceeded to beat him. Sometime during the confrontation, he passed out, leaving the suspects to allegedly take $43 from his pocket.

Officers noted scratch marks on the victim's left hand and a cut lip.

A witness nearby confirmed that three men assaulted his neighbor, but told officers the men were arguing prior to the robbery because the victim owed the men drug money.

Police are searching for a suspect. Anyone with additional information should contact Information Services at 706-653-3400.
